Work is underway to remodel 2 adjacent spaces in the 2000 block of Main Street from their floors to their roofs.

The 2 storefront spaces, Tony’s Blackhawk Building at 2014 Main Street and what was formerly Mazatlán Seafood and Grill at 2012 Main Street, are currently being renovated.

The work is being done in preparation for the future opening of a restaurant. The
restaurant owner requested MFN not identify him or the restaurant’s offerings until he gets closer to opening the doors. He expected that could be as soon as June.

Work has been done to the roofs, floors and most everything in between. Both spaces have been cleared back to the framing and will see new flooring, walls and ceiling before the project is complete the restaurant owner said.

The 2012 Main Street space will serve as the restaurant’s seating and kitchen areas while the 2014 Main Street space will be used for storage.
