BPD crime scene investigators began gathering evidence and containing the crime scene.  BPD detectives were also called in to assist in the investigation of what Murphy referred to as a “suspicious death of a male in his 40s.”

Murphy added that, “The crime scene indicates signs of violence.” An autopsy by the Medical Examiner is expected to provide the manner and cause of death.

The quarter mile long Taylor Dock boardwalk was closed for several hours during the investigation and reopened about 4:30pm.
