Delays and detours can be expected due to these scheduled projects.
Passenger vehicle traffic will need to exit I-5 at Portal Way and semi trucks will exit at Birch Bay-Lynden Road to bypass the closure.
The closures are required while workers replace traffic data collection sensors in the area.
The intersection of Grandview Road and Portal Way is scheduled to be closed for 6 days.
Dates are set for reopening the northbound I-5 mainline lanes as well as nearby Zell Road which also received a new culvert.
For 24-hours-a-day drivers will encounter a lane closure and be directed onto a bypass lane.
The lane reduction is expected to continue until June 23rd.
The closures can be expected from 6am to 4pm, Tuesday through Friday.
