Motorcycle injury crash closes lane of southbound I-5 Sunday

BLAINE, Wash. — First responders were dispatched about 5:20pm on Sunday April 19, 2026, to the southbound lanes of I-5 north of the Loomis Trail Road overpass due to reports of a single motorcycle off the roadway incident with injuries.

The left lane was closed to traffic.

According to the PulsePoint EMS dispatch log reporting system, at least 1 patient was transported from the crash scene to PeaceHealth St Joseph’s Medical Center via a medic unit.

As of 5:50pm, the right lane remained open to traffic.

Update 8pm: The scene was cleared and the left lane reopened.
