Both directions of I-5 will remain closed overnight due to flooding & active slides that threaten the highway.
The on-ramp is accessible to drivers heading westbound on W Bakerview Road.
The closure is needed while a WSDOT crew makes guardrail repairs.
WSDOT said the closures can be expected today through a week from today.
"Our priority is keeping the roadway safe for all users and we need to shift our resources moving into the winter months."
Since June, 3 lanes have been reduced to 1 for both northbound and southbound traffic.
The closure will allow crews to replace the existing culvert with a new one.
As of 5:45pm, the lane was expected to reopen about 6:30pm.
