A trooper stopped a driver without insurance for doing 70mph in a 35mph zone.

First responders arrived to find the power pole laying on the car.
Initial reports from the scene were that the pole had been sheared off from its base.
Washington State Patrol said the pedestrian was walking with his back to oncoming traffic on a small shoulder while wearing dark clothes.
The road was closed in both directions about 12:30pm.
The closure is due to surface and river water flooding during heavy rains.
Washington State Department of Transportation announced the road was reopened at 10:30am.
While the current atmospheric river event is impacting areas to the south, another right behind it is expected to drive the Nooksack River to flood stage.
