A van failed to slow and struck 2 motorcycles before crashing into 2 pickup trucks.

No one was found around the apparently abandoned vehicle.
Both lanes were initially blocked but by 6:25pm, 1 lane had been reopened.
As of 12pm, a 2-mile traffic backup had formed to the south.
Motorists are advised to expect a long closure.
Initial reports from the scene told of 1 vehicle off the roadway in the median and another off the roadway in the grass on the east side.
