Maintenance to close Bellingham northbound I-5 lane and ramp Saturday

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has scheduled 2 maintenance projects on I-5 this Saturday, May 2, 2026. The northbound I-5 off-ramp to Lakeway Drive at milepost 253 will close from about 6am to about 3pm on Saturday. In addition, the right lane of northbound I-5 at Samish Way at milepost 252 will close from about 6am on Saturday to about 8am on Sunday.

Both projects are identified as maintenance.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
