FERNDALE, Wash. — Construction on the bond-supported new Ferndale High School is a step closer as Cornerstone General Contractors, contracted by Ferndale School District to provide pre-construction services, has begun advertising several bid packages to subcontractors interested in working on the new high school building.
These are the first round of bids according to the District with some due on February 23rd and others due on February 24th. Work being bid on includes demolition, structures, windows, elevators, mechanical and electrical.
The District provided an online presentation of the design last month which was recorded and is presented below (some supporting materials provided by the District are provided below the video).

Click for more informationThe District announced this week that a design for the grandstand had been completed and they are working with landscape architects to develop a fencing plan involving several different types and heights of fencing.
District officials are planning to make another online public presentation in February.
The project is supported by a $112 million bond issue approved by voters in 2019 to be paid back over 20 years using property taxes imposed on taxable properties within Ferndale School District boundaries.
