Original story
Two large localized power outages occurred this morning in the Ferndale area. Thousands have been impacted over the past few days in eastern Whatcom County while west county areas have been left relatively unaffected to the weather-related outages.

About 2000 Puget Sound Energy (PSE) customers in west Ferndale and another 44 in the Deer Creek neighborhood have been impacted by these outages.

PSE and their contractors have been stretched thin dealing with nearly 10,000 PSE customers currently without power outside the Ferndale area. As a result PSE is not expected to provide estimates for when to expect power to be restored.
