The Elections Division of the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office mailed out voters’ ballots for the August 4th Primary Election on July 15th. If you are a registered voter and have not received yours yet you are asked to contact their office at (360) 676-6742 any time Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

The city has put on the ballot this year a tax district much like the Transportation Benefit District sales tax approved by voters a few years ago. The proposal is for a Metropolitan Parks District which will collect taxes to be used toward purchasing and maintenance on new and existing city park lands.
