This year Ferndale area voters will be asked to choose a new commissioner to represent District #3 at the Port of Bellingham. This article, the fourth in a series (click to read the first, second and third articles), looks at the three candidates running for the position of Port of Bellingham Commissioner for District #3.
More than two candidates are vying for the position so there will be a primary election in August to bring this down to two candidates who be on the general election ballot in November.
The incumbent, Jim Jorgensen, has announced he is not seeking re-election. Vying for the open position are Robert (Bobby) Briscoe, Gary Jensen and Lloyd Zimmerman.
