The call for mural artists caught the attention of this Portland, Oregon artist.

The new murals will be ground murals. Unlike previous wall murals, these will be applied to the road surface.
The workshops are free and open to all Ferndale residents.
"Our goal is to bring new art styles that will complement the area and inspire our community."
The designs for the murals came from a FHS senior.
Volunteers will complete the mural over the next few days.
The kids' efforts will result in late July performances of "Willy Wonka Kids" and "High School Musical, Jr."
Shows are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings plus a Saturday matinee.
Auditions are scheduled for Wednesday, June 7th and Thursday, June 8th.
