Antiques business opens in downtown Ferndale

Described as an antique shop with out of the ordinary items, Memory Lane Collectibles recently opened at 2015 Main Street.

Owners Lawrie and Mary Ochoa say visitors looking for trinkets and doilies might be disappointed. Instead they will find automobile and airplane collectibles ranging from Hot Wheels model cars to a radio from a 1951 Studebaker. Toys, wall hangings, and more are available.

The location has already proven itself according to Lawrie. They had a Frigidaire refrigerator that had been redecorated using Ford Motor Company trim and colors that she really hoped to keep in the store but it sold only a few hours after putting on the floor.

Lawrie said they hoped to be part of the reason people will want to walk around downtown Ferndale. Pointing to the other antiques stores already downtown, she hoped more might follow.

Memory Lane Collectibles will be open every day from 10am to 6pm.
