WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release on Tuesday, March 28th, asking for the public’s assistance in locating 2 brothers suspected of being involved in an assault where a Maple Falls man was reportedly shot in the face on Friday, March 24th in Maple Falls.
According to the news release, detectives have developed sufficient cause to arrest James Franklin Gamble, age 34, and Christopher David Gamble, age 31. Both are suspected of 1st-degree robbery, 1st-degree burglary and 1st-degree assault as a result of the incident which resulted in 2 unidentified men being transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.
Christopher also faces unlawful possession of a firearm and felony harassment charges.
Both suspects are known to reside in and associate with others in the Paradise Lakes area.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either of the suspects is asked to call 911.
Christopher has a bench warrant for his arrest after failing to appear in Whatcom County Superior Court where he faces 1st-degree criminal impersonation and felony bail jumping charges. He was out of custody after posting a $1,000 cash bond which has since been forfeited.
James also already is facing several charges in Whatcom County Superior Court dating back to 2020 including 1st-degree criminal impersonation, forgery with intent to injure or defraud, 2nd-degree theft, 1st-degree stolen property trafficking and 2nd-degree possession of stolen property.
