Road conditions can be expected to worsen into tomorrow since the Nooksack River is not expected to crest at Ferndale until after midnight tonight.

Puget Sound Energy reports a localized outage began about 12:50pm today.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or plan for delays.
Initial reports were of a traffic incident and first responders arrived to find a semi-truck and trailer on fire.
While warmer temperatures mean many are able to drive for the first time in days, it is still not without its challenges.

Motorists encountered what were described as "deceptively icy" roads.
Washington State Patrol said the pedestrian was walking with his back to oncoming traffic on a small shoulder while wearing dark clothes.
