The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a wind advisory for today that will be in effect until 1pm.
About 8am today, the NWS Seattle office issued a High Wind Advisory due to expected high winds “through midday and mainly near the coastlines of western Whatcom County and the San Juans.”
According to the advisory, sustained southeast winds from 20 to 30mph are expected with gusts to 45mph.
