WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of 6:30am this morning, Monday, February 3, 2025, Whatcom County schools and others have announced the following impacts due to sub-freezing temperatures, snow and road conditions.
- Bellingham Schools – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Bellingham Christian Schools – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Assumption Catholic School – no announcement
- Ferndale School District – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Lummi Nation School – all classes, events, activities and early learning today are cancelled
- Blaine School District – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Lynden School District – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Lynden Christian Schools – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Nooksack Valley School District – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Meridian School District – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Mount Baker School District – all classes, events and activities today are cancelled
- Whatcom Intergenerational High School – closed today
- Khalsa Academy – closed today
- Bellingham Technical College – campus is closed and on-campus classes cancelled, online classes are not impacted
- Western Washington University – opening is delayed until 10am
- Whatcom Community College – campus is closed and on-campus classes cancelled, online classes are not impacted
- Northwest Indian College – campus is closed, online classes are not impacted
- Lummi Health Center and Clinic – open for essential services from 10am to 3pm
- Nooksack Tribal Offices and Health Center – closed
- Whatcom County Library System – all library locations and administrative offices are closed, all programs and events cancelled today
- Whatcom Transportation Authority – operating but routes will be delayed as many buses are chained, unable to operate FLEX on routes 71X, 72X, 75
- Amtrak Cascades – trains operating between Seattle and Vancouver are on time today
- Mount Baker Highway (SR542) – traction tires required, chains required on vehicles over 10,000 gross vehicle weight, oversize vehicles prohibited
- Ferndale Food Bank – closed today
- Ferndale Community Services Resource Center – closed today
- Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation – all classes and activities cancelled today
