Vancouver BC man charged with child rape and computer trespass

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed charges of rape, incest, stalking and computer trespass against 36-year-old Travis Robert Warner McCrea on March 1, 2024, and on November 5, 2025.

The charges follow an investigation that began on December 24, 2023, following a report regarding incidents involving a victim in December 2022. These events were reported to have occurred in Bellingham and California.

On February 23, 2024, a witness contacted the Bellingham Police Department regarding concerns that McCrea was electronically monitoring the victim. The victim reported that a Google account had been remotely accessed from Hanoi, Vietnam. A review of search warrant results for Google and iCloud accounts showed a device used by McCrea accessed the victim’s account and Gmail application on at least 2 occasions in January and February 2024.

Login records and IP addresses placed the access in Hanoi, Vietnam, at times McCrea’s location records placed him in that city.
