A large chunk of a tall tree on a property in the 2100 block of Siddle Street broke off and fell onto an apartment building located in the 2100 block of Sunnybrook Lane about 11am today, October 15th.
According to a building tenant who was unlocking their door after arriving home, a lot of noise was heard and tree debris began falling by the front of the building. Had they been a few seconds slower a much worse scenario may have played out.
Police and fire units responded. The main structure was determined to not have been compromised but an overhang above a rear outside deck area did take a hit.
