This summer’s roadwork project between Ferndale and Blaine will be focused on the Main Street interchange (I-5 Exit 262) this week beginning Tuesday night according to the project manager.
Last week, the I-5 and Slater Road interchange ramps were closed while work was done to mill and resurface them. This week, the Main Street northbound on- and off-ramps are scheduled to receive the same attention.
This week’s northbound off- and on-ramps closure schedule (as of June 30th and vulnerable to changes due to weather) looks like this:
Tuesday 7pm to Wednesday 6am
Wednesday 7pm to Thursday 6am
While the schedule is not yet confirmed, drivers can expect the southbound ramps to be closed in the same fashion the following week.
The resurfacing project marks the first time this stretch of I-5 has been repaved since 1998.
