This summer’s roadwork project between Ferndale and Blaine will require closing the southbound Main Street ramps (I-5 Exit 262) this week beginning Tuesday night according to the project manager.
Last week the northbound ramps and one lane of I-5 northbound were closed so that resurfacing of the ramps could be done. This week, the same is scheduled for the southbound ramps.
This week’s southbound off- and on-ramps and one lane of I-5 closure schedule (as of July 6th and vulnerable to changes due to weather) looks like this:
Tuesday 7pm to Wednesday 6am
Wednesday 7pm to Thursday 6am
Similar work can be expected in Blaine around the southbound ramps at the I-5 interchange to the truck crossing (Exit 275) on Monday and Thursday nights.
The resurfacing project marks the first time this stretch of I-5 has been repaved since 1998.
