Tow Called for Riding Mower in River

Just about 5pm Sunday, July 12th, Ferndale Police requested a tow-truck for a riding mower discovered in the Nooksack River.

When Chris Heston and Duane Bacon of Ferndale’s Heston Towing arrived, they found it several feet offshore halfway underwater.

After bringing it to shore everyone realized what they were dealing with was really a plastic toy riding mower.

Is there an unhappy child somewhere?
