Slater Road has reopened with water still over the roadway east of the bridge. Speed in that area is reduced to 5 MPH.

The Nooksack River crested late yesterday just short of the 19 foot flood stage. Fortunately, it quickly receded, dropping below 17 feet by midnight.
As of 9:30am this morning, November 19th, the level had dropped to about 13 feet and was expected to continue to drop over the next few days to below 7 feet.
As of 10am this morning, Slater Road and Marine Drive remain closed while Paradise and Barrett Roads have reopened. It is expected these roads will all be reopened sometime today.
