Not everything that happens in and around Ferndale warrants a story written but still may be important to some. but The “Ticker” is where you will be able to find those items or answer the question, “why am I hearing sirens?” or get the basic inform while the story is being written.
- 2:15pm Aid responded to a ground level fall in the parking lot of the Ferndale Senior Center.
- 1:20pm Vehicle accident on Hovander Road near the Smith Road turn. Pickup truck ran off the road.
- 1:15pm Multiple accidents in Bellingham on I-5 near the Guide. Traffic northbound and southbound is backing up. Alternate routes recommended.
- 11am Driving around town revealed
- the Ferndale Public Library is open (and had been open all weekend during the outage!)
- Phones in and out of all schools are down
- Horizon Middle School has no power but the office is open to parents
- Thornton Road outside Horizon and Eagleridge is accessible while only one lane without a flagger.
- Police were called to the Dollar Store to investigate a report of children left unattended in a parked but running vehicle.
- 5:30am Many who lost power in the prior ticker entry are now reporting it has been restored.
- 5:15am Neighbors around Church Road and in the Pacific Highlands are reporting their power has gone off for the first time during this multi-day outage.
