About 7:40am, much of western Ferndale was impacted by a momentary loss of power. Neighbors reported their lights flickered as power dropped momentarily in a widespread area, long enough for many digital devices to reset.
Puget Sound Energy reports 8 customers are without power on Sunrise Street east of Vista Drive beginning at 7:42am. The cause was cited as “equipment failure.”
The initial estimate for restoring power is 10am.
Update 8:50am
PSE reports power has been restored. They also changed the cause of the outage to “bird or animal.”
