Products containing a milk powder ingredient have been recalled over Salmonella contamination concerns. The products were shipped nationwide. Distribution information for Washington was currently not available according to the Washington State Department of Health. Other sources say these products are sold at retail stores nationwide.
The United States Department of Agriculture issued a public health alert for meat and poultry products containing Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated dairy products. The problem was discovered when FDA notified Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) that multiple establishments received ingredients formulated with a dry milk powder product that had been recalled.
The recalled products include the following.
- selected varieties of Zapp’s brand and Dirty brand chips from Utz Quality Foods, LLC

- 3oz bottles of Pork King Good Onion & Sour Cream seasoning (see below)
- lot numbers 329-5, 004-6, and 029-6
- Mama Cozzi’s brand and Culinary Circle brand pizzas (see below)
There are 0 reports of illness or adverse reactions. Consumers who have these products are advised not to eat them and to discard them.
