Puget Sound Energy reports most of the Sandy Point area has been without power since approximately 9:45am this morning.

PSE estimates over 650 of their customers were effected by the outage (see map).

PSE work crews are on the scene and while the cause remains under investigation, as of 10:15am,  the estimate to restore power is 11am.

Neighbors tell Discover Ferndale they suspect the outage is the result of making permanent repairs to a power pole damaged about 2am this morning when a vehicle left the roadway on a curve in the area.
