To some, it appeared the Rocky Mountaineer train had simply stopped at Edaleen Dairy’s Ferndale location.

This morning the Vancouver BC-based Rocky Mountaineer tour train could be seen parked on the railway siding north of Washington Street. Today’s trip was only the fifth time the train had passed through Ferndale this year on its way to King Station in Seattle. It usually passes through town in a matter of seconds so today’s stop created much curiosity since many had never seen the uniquely painted train before.

According to the Rocky Mountaineer website, the Coastal Passage route between Vancouver and Seattle has been operating since 2013.
