Updated: Rockslide closes Chuckanut Drive (SR11)

BOW, Wash. — Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported a debris from a rockslide has resulted in the closure of both lanes of Chuckanut Drive (SR11).

WSDOT first reported the incident about 11:45pm on Friday, November 1st. The closure is reported to be “just north of Oyster Creek (MP 13).”

WSDOT described the scene as, “Several large boulders, some car-sized, are blocking all lanes of SR 11 just north of Oyster Creek.”

The Washington State Patrol advised motorists, “Please avoid the area and use alternative routes. This will be an extended closure until the roadway is cleared.”

UPDATE 1pm: WSDOT reports both lanes have been reopened.
