In the last hour, aid units from Whatcom Fire District 7 have been dispatched to nearly a half-dozen medical emergencies in and around Ferndale.
As a result of the persistent sirens, readers were wondering if something bigger had happened.
These emergencies have been in the areas of Slater Road and Ferndale Road, Lattimore Road, Woodlyn Road, the 1800 block of Main Street and Sunrise Street and Vista Drive.
