A vehicle found with substantial damage and in a field was reported to 9-1-1 about 7am today. First responders made a tragic find after they arrived.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), Georgianna James’ body was located outside of the green 2004 Ford Explorer. James, age 32, was ejected when the vehicle left the roadway while eastbound in the 500 block of W Pole Road. The Ford ended up in a ditch.
WSP determined James had been a passenger in the vehicle and the driver had fled the scene.
James was not wearing a seatbelt according to the WSP. Speed has been given as the cause of the crash and charges are pending. Next of kin were notified.
