The house located at 5766 Vista Drive on the northeast corner of Washington Street and Vista Drive is being demolished today.
The City of Ferndale acquired the property in 2011 since a future roundabout project at Vista and Washington is expected to extend into the lot.
While the roundabout project is yet unscheduled, it is likely the city choose to proceed with the demolition now since the empty house has been attracting activity requiring law enforcement involvement.
