Sometime over the last two days, an unoccupied work vehicle parked in The Meadows housing development west of Horizon Middle School was crashed into resulting in significant front-end damage.
The truck’s owners took to social media today after realizing what had happened and reporting it to police. They appealed to whoever had done it, “Our company will be willing to work out something to work it off. Things happen but good to show responsibility to come forward. Thank you.”
In less than a half an hour, they received a message. The sender said they were the person who had damaged the truck. The truck owners were stunned and elated. “It’s awesome he came forward and apologized,” they said.
Turned out, the caller had left a note inside the truck but with the windows frozen over, it wasn’t noticed. The truck owner said, “It is very encouraging that someone still comes forward and owns up to their responsibilities.”
