A Wind Advisory expired at 7pm this evening as National Weather Service forecasters previously planned. Then, over the following 2 hours, winds over the Ferndale area began building and produced stronger gusts than had been seen during the time the advisory was in effect.
These winds were not included in current forecast discussions so MFN asked NWS forecasters what more we could expect this evening. Here’s their response.
The cold front is along the coast right now and will be moving inland in the next few hours. The winds will not diminish until the front passes through a little after midnight.
The cold front referred to is expected to slowly move across the Puget Sound area tonight and into Friday morning bringing with it with another round of rain for lowlands areas, like Ferndale.
