FERNDALE, Wash. — Governor Inslee’s new restrictions on restaurants and bars went into effect at 12:01am Wednesday, November 18th, forcing many Ferndale area food service businesses to scramble to find ways to survive, again, without indoor dining.
This is not the first time this year most of these businesses have had to adjust. Back in March, some were able to rely on existing delivery, drive-up and to-go service while others simply shut their doors.
Then in June, Whatcom County was allowed to move forward to Phase 2 of the Governor’s Safe Start plan, which allowed for inside dining at 50% of capacity for restaurants and bars.
But with this week’s announcement, these businesses are facing a déjà vu moment they hoped to never see again.
To help the local community identify and do business with these impacted businesses, a list of Ferndale area food service providers currently open along with links to their websites along with operating hours is being maintained and will remain available to be found on the front page of My Ferndale News until these restrictions are lifted.
