According to Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Division of Emergency Management (DEM) Deputy Director John Gargett, there is a Frontier Communications phone service outage.
Gargett advises anyone needing to call 911 or otherwise needs emergency services should use their cell phone or go to the nearest fire station for assistance.
No estimate has been given for when service is expected to be restored.
Update 5:15pm
The phone outage in Ferndale has been repaired and service is restored, according to Gargett.
