The Other Bank has put out a call to the community regarding a need for hygiene supplies to provide local families and children in need.
Working with Ferndale School District Family Community Coordinators, the Other Bank provides hygiene supplies (see list below) to families with children who qualify for free and reduced lunch in the Ferndale School District. Distributions begin in September, when the Other Bank opens for the school year.
Other Bank Coordinator Louisa Underwood has been involved with the organization for over 10 years. In 2017, Underwood and 9 volunteers volunteered over 500 hours to serve 3,435 children and parents from over 134 different families.
