BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police Department (BPD) officials announced they had arrested a Seattle man as a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a Fairhaven bank branch just before 6pm on April 1st.
On Friday, November 1st, BPD arrested Arvin Edwards and booked him into the Whatcom County Jail charged with 2nd-degree theft of between $750 and $5,000 and 1st-degree robbery.
According to the announcement, BPD took Edwards safely into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force in the 6000 block of Guide Meridian.
Police were dispatched to a branch located inside a Fairhaven grocery store. The suspect reportedly left the area prior to law enforcement’s arrival. During the robbery he wore a security guard-type jacket with arm patches, black pants and black work boots. His face was concealed by a black medical face mask.
A 2-tone Ford Flex SUV associated with the robbery was recorded on video just before and after the robbery as it drove down Larrabee Avenue.
