Bellingham bank branch scene of armed robbery Monday, suspect & vehicle sought

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police Department detectives are seeking information about the suspect involved in a reported armed bank robbery that occurred just before 6pm on Monday, April 1st. Police were dispatched to a branch located inside a Fairhaven grocery store. The suspect reportedly left the area prior to law enforcement’s arrival. The incident was recorded on surveillance video.

Suspect Description: The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall and of average build. During the robbery he wore a security guard-type jacket with arm patches, black pants and black work boots. His face was concealed by a black medical face mask.

Associated Vehicle: Investigators believe the suspect may be connected to a 2-tone Ford Flex SUV, possibly black and white. The SUV was observed driving westbound on Larrabee Avenue just prior to the robbery and then heading eastbound after the robbery.
