Lynden power outage impacts over 1,700 Saturday

LYNDEN, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reported an outage in the Lynden area began about 8:15am on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

According to PSE, 1,780 of their business and residential customer addresses were impacted by the outage.

As of 8:40am, the estimate for restoring power was 11:30am. The cause remained under investigation.

Lynden Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a transformer explosion in the area of Lawrence Street and E Front Street in Lynden about 8:20am.
