At 6:40pm this evening North Whatcom Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to a report of a fire at Blaine High School. About the same time people throughout Blaine lost power.
Traffic westbound on Main Street was unusually heavy for the hours before, during and after lunch today. It's unknown how much that had to do with today's accident.
Started on the outside of an abandoned house in New Orleans, the "Before I Die" project has since spread around the world to 73 countries in 36 languages. Now, if for only a month, it has arrived in Ferndale.
