7:40am: Good morning. It is another foggy morning in most areas around Ferndale. Temperatures are in the lower 40s with little to no breeze. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range.
Whatcom County Public Works announced about 7pm last night, the Whatcom Chief has returned to service from its annual dry dock.

- Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue and the latest estimate for reopening is early October.
This summer’s I-5 resurfacing project between Ferndale and Blaine may be completed. Awaiting confirmation from the project manager.- Traffic revisions remain in place 24/7 around Ferndale High School. Malloy Avenue remains one-way northbound from the Vista roundabout to Seamount Drive while Washington Street remains closed. More details here.
