A little before 9am this morning, 911 dispatchers received a report of a male with a cut to his throat. The situation soon after was that of a criminal investigation.
According to radio transmissions between responding units and dispatchers, there was an initial report of a male with a cut to the throat in the 1000 block of Piper Road. The caller described the victim to dispatchers as conscious and breathing.
The first Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputies to arrive at the scene reported immediately starting CPR on the victim. About 30 minutes later WCSO Support Officers had been dispatched as is often the case in the event of a fatality.
Investigators were still assessing the scene and collecting information when Discover Ferndale arrived. This article will be updated when additional information is available.
