Cleanup of morning semi-truck crash impacting evening commute through Ferndale

FERNDALE, Wash. — Efforts to retrieve a semi-truck and trailer that left the roadway during this morning’s crash have resulted in a several mile traffic backup in the northbound lanes of I-5 due to needing to close the right lane.

The car was reported to have ended up in the cable barrier in the median while the semi-truck was several dozen feet off the road to the east in this morning’s crash.

According to the PulsePoint EMS dispatch log service, at least 1 patient was transported from the scene to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center via ambulance.
