WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — First responders were dispatched shortly after 5pm to the section of Valley Highway (SR9) between Wickersham Truck Trail and Doran Road in Acme due to reports of a logging truck that had rolled.
Initial unconfirmed reports were there were no injuries and the crash was blocking both lanes.
A Washington State Patrol trooper at the scene reported the driver had a non-life-threatening laceration and the truck was on its side. A class-C tow truck was being dispatched.
As of 5:45pm, no estimate for clearing the road was available.
Washington State Department of Transportation reported about 8:55pm that both lanes had been reopened.
