After yesterdays restoration of power in many locations, many, including this writer, probably expected to wake up this morning, August 31st, to power having been restored to everyone except only the most remote locations. Of course, not only was that not the case but some woke to having lost their power for the first time during this multi-day outage.
It is not easy keeping the water flowing to your faucet and sewage flowing away from your home when the power is out.
If your neighborhood hasn’t seen its power restored yet, Puget Sound Energy has a worst-case estimate and you may not be happy with it.

Puget Sound Energy announced they expect to have power restored in all of Whatcom County by 6pm Tuesday, September 1st. That is the worst case scenario for those out in remote areas. Others should see their power restored sooner.

For many the power has been restored but for many it is “day two” of going without power.
