The Ferndale Chamber of Commerce had to cancel the Ferndale Street Festival just as it was getting started Saturday, August 29th. Many vendors and attendees were soon asking about the possibility of rescheduling in the weeks to come in the hope of better weather. This morning, Ferndale Chamber Executive Director Ann Cline announced
It takes months to plan and schedule this [the Street Festival]. There is no way to do it. As for vendor refunds, yes, we will be refunding.
Not having had to go through the process of issuing vendor refunds before, the Chamber asks for a “time to sort it all out first.”
Cline also advised ,
I spoke to the Mexican Chamber. They are offering spots in the Fiesta Patrious for a donation. Please contact them asap if you are interest as we will not be rescheduling our event.
Cline is referring to the Fiestas Patrias Celebration planned for next Saturday, September 5th in Pioneer Park. It is organized by the Northwest Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Vendors interested in participating should contact Manuel Reta at 360-255-1874 and download the vendor form.
