The National Weather Service (NWS) has updated their forecast for the windstorms coming through the area.

Due to current wind-related power outages and even more powerful winds forecast to arrive late Saturday, several Ferndale events and programs have been cancelled or postponed.
According to Puget Sound Energy (PSE), a large area of north Ferndale lost power after 1pm today impacting almost 1900 PSE customers, including schools.
With over 30,000 reported without power in the Puget Sound region, there are enough power outages that Puget Sound Energy's ability to report them all is being challenged.
Power was knocked out when a large tree fell across Grandview Road this morning.
Ferndale High School announced today the Homecoming Dance scheduled for this Saturday evening has been postponed due to weather concerns.
The Oregon coast was slammed overnight by strong winds of 100mph and this morning people received tornado warnings on their phones and via broadcast media when at least one tornado touched down in the coastal town of Manzanita. Some took to social media asking, "What does this mean?" and "What should I do?"

After the first windstorm of this stormy week, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is reporting two neighborhoods around Ferndale were without power this morning and the estimation for restoring power isn't until this afternoon.
