After the first windstorm of this stormy week, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is reporting two neighborhoods around Ferndale were without power this morning and the estimation for restoring power isn’t until this afternoon.
Neighbors in Marietta and on Brown Road, west of Olson, are waking to find they are without power this morning according PSE.
46 PSE customers on Brown Road have been without power since around 4:45am and 122 PSE customers in Marietta lost their power about 11pm. PSE’s estimate for restoring power is 2:30pm for the Marietta neighbors and 3pm for the Brown Road neighbors.
Both outages have been blamed on “trees/vegetation” and one occurred during times of peak gusts overnight. Just before midnight winds peaked in Ferndale with gusts of nearly 50mph. Winds were gusting around 30mph when the Brown Road outage was reported.
UPDATE 10am
A third outage was reported shortly after 8am in the area directly east of the Brown Road outage reported above.
PSE reports 100 customers along Olson Road between Grandview Road and Thornton Road are without power and the cause remains under investigation. The estimate for restoring power to this neighborhood is 11am.
Information for the other outages has not been updated since being reported above.
UPDATE 10:30am
PSE reports power has been restored to the Brown Road and Olson Road neighborhoods. Marietta area neighbors remain without power.
